Switch Wireless Networks

wilntracyjax

After having left and returned to my previous internet provider, I am attempting to (re)connect to the Ruckus AP within my home. The network name and so on are different than I previously had but seemingly that previous network name is still housed within the Ruckus system/box and I no longer see the ‘Configure.me.xxxxxx’ listed in the Wi-Fi networks of my mobile devise to setup (reset up) the AP devices within my home. Has anyone else dealt with this and/or have a solution?

Hi @wilntracyjax

If that's the case, the best option here is to perform a factory reset of your Access points to be able to configure a new network from scratch.

Physical Factory Reset an Access Points Ruckus

NOTE:
If you have more than one Access Point (AP) in your house, please go to the Ruckus Switch (located in the panel) and disconnect from its ports the Ethernet cables of all the Access Points, except the one that you are going to work with.

Hi @wilntracyjax

Thank you very much for the information provided.

If you go to your WIFI settings, are you able to see your Unleashed wifi /ssid?

How are the lights on the access points? are they statics or blinking?

Kind regards,

Sofia Gätjens

When I go into my Wi-Fi settings on my phone I see the Ruckus network, however, it has our old (previous) name still assigned to it and I cannot change it. The lights on the access points are different. As seen in the following pictures. The weirdest part of this all is that I can actually connect my iPad, 2 iPhones to Ruckus at the previous (old) named Wi-Fi/ssid w/o entering a passwordFurthest from switch on 2nd floorFurthest from switch on 2nd floorCloses to switch on same floor (basement)Closes to switch on same floor (basement)

Sorry, I forgot to mention, the lights are static

Hi @wilntracyjax

Thank you for the info provided.

Alright, got it. Do you possess the credentials to access the Ruckus WiFi? Do you have the password for connecting to it?

It's important to note that changing the Internet Service Provider (ISP) won't impact or alter the Ruckus WiFi, as the ISP is solely responsible for providing Internet access, and these two systems function independently.
