Stuck on configure me

Howardfam86

We recently received a new modem and router so I reset our ruckus. However, even after “successfully” configuring the new SSID and ruckus it is not connecting to the internet on the dashboard and the WiFi name is still reflecting “configure me” and not the new SSID. Lights are all green.

It is connected. The yellow cord all the way on the left is the cord from my router. The lights are green.

Hi @Howardfam86

As per the image you have shared it seems that the ethernet cable has been connected wrongly. Please connect the ethernet cable to one of the 12 ports of the switch.

Make sure the cable is actually connected to the ICX-7150-C12P ( Switch ) In one of the 12 ports in the middle

Make sure the cable is in good condition so that both ends and connectors look good.

Note : you will see a light come on when a device is connected via Ethernet on 1 of the 12 ports available.

Also please check the connections of the devices again using the below link.

Here I will leave a short guide how to connect the devices properly :

I have tried this and it did not work and furthermore, this set up had worked for years and has worked up until I just received a new router.

Hi

Greetings!!!

Thank you for the response and the information.

The ethernet cable coming from the Router must be plugged into any 1 in-12 ports as explained in the previous post and as highlighted marked in the below screenshot.

And please make sure, the connection must be from a Router or Modem-Router combo device. And the ethernet cable connected to the Switch only with Modem doesn’t work.

And also, could you please confirm, which cable is left unplugged? (Please refer to the below screenshot).

Please check and let me know if you have any queries in this regard.

Thank you again for your patience.

Yes, can confirm when I moved the Ethernet cable that I could not connect to my AP at all and the configure me wouldn’t even show up. When it is in the one in the left the configure me shows up and I am able to go through the steps to configure. The cable not connected is the 2nd AP because the instructions advised to only have one connected.
