Sonos Sub Not Connecting

cwillis

To Whom It May Concern,

I am trying to connect my Sonos sub 4 to my Arc Ultra, but have been unsuccessful.  I contacted Sonos customer support and they shared that this is a known issue with Ruckus and to contact you.  Can you please assist in getting my Sonos Sub 4 connected.

Thanks,
Cam

Hi @cwillis

Greetings!

Thank you for your response and the update.

Based on the screenshot you shared, I noticed that your Access Points are currently running an older firmware version: 200.7.10.2.339. This version must be upgraded before proceeding with further configuration.

Step 1: Firmware Upgrade

Please follow the instructions in the RUCKUS Lennar Knowledge Base self-help article to upgrade your Access Points:

https://community.ruckuswireless.com/t5/RUCKUS-Lennar-Support-Knowledge/Upgrade-process-of-the-RUCKU...

Step 2: Execute Configuration Commands

Once the upgrade is complete, please proceed with the following steps:

1. Launch PuTTY from your laptop.

2. Connect via SSH:

  • Open PuTTY.
  • In the “Host Name (or IP address)” field, enter: 10.0.0.2 (based on your screenshot).
  • Enter your username and password when prompted.

3. Run the following commands:
(Please replace your Wi-Fi name” with your actual Wi-Fi/SSID name, enclosed in double quotes if it contains spaces)

ruckus> en

ruckus# config

ruckus(config)# wlan "your Wi-Fi name"

ruckus(config-wlan)# no qos directed-multicast

ruckus(config-wlan)# qos directed-threshold 0

ruckus(config-wlan)# end

ruckus(config)# end

ruckus(config-wlan)# qos directedDHCP disable

This configuration should help resolve the issue.

Here’s an example of PuTTY command line output from my lab for reference: (Bold fonts are commands to execute)

Unfortunately, when I try and do the online or the local I do not have the ability to do so.  When I follow the online, I do not have any AP's that say they need an upgrade, therefore, no ability to select upgrade.  When I go into admin and go into, I do not have the ability to select local and nothing pops up under select firmware version.  It just says "Loading..."  and never does anything more.

Hi @cwillis

Thank you for your response and the update.

Could you please try performing the upgrade using the Mozilla Firefox web browser?
Kindly let me know the outcome once you’ve had a chance to test it.

Thank you once again for your continued patience and understanding.

Best regards,
Imran Sanadi
