My home has ICX7150-C12-Switch and 2 r510 ap. The Ruckus system seems to reset randomly. The ATT fiber router/modem is not as internet is available through ATT. The switch does not show up in the Unleashed app but the access points do. I connected my laptop directly to the switch but cannot get pass the login (192.168.1.100) using any of the passwords I originally got from the tech ( super &sp-admin, admin & ruckus). Called Ruckus and they say i must post to forum. Any assistance would be appreciated. Home built in 2019.

Hi @ajc
Thanks for your response.
Please try to access the switch CLI via putty and perform the password recovery steps.
We need physical access to the ICX-7150-Using the console connection
Here is a short guide :
How to console in the ICX-7150-C12P
Short Guide for password recovery :
Video link as reference : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XJS28DWbHM4
1.Start a CLI session over the serial ( console access) interface to the RUCKUS ICX device.
2-Enter OS mode. This uses a key combination and drops below the fastiron operating system
Key Combination: Ctrl+y, release, tap 'm', tap 'Enter'
OS>
4-just write reset
OS>reset
5-.While the system is booting, before the initial system prompt appears,
enter b to enter the boot monitor mode.
Enter 'b' to stop at boot monitor: 0
In this Part you have to press B before the counter ends
6-Enter no password. (You cannot abbreviate this command.)
ICX7650-Boot> no password
00 00 00 00
OK! Skip password check when the system is up.
7-Enter boot. This command causes the device to bypass the system password
check.
ICX7650-Boot> boot
8-After the console prompt reappears, assign a new password.
device> enabledevice# configure terminal
device(config)# username USERNAME password PASSWORD
If you get any error while following the steps please share the screenshot of the error.

Hi @ajc
If you could access the switch CLI via putty then you can also perform password recovery in the same CLI. Also you can use the same login and password to login to the unleashed dashboard.
So please try to login to the unleashed dashboard and share the status of the switch and the access points.
Please let us know if you have any queries in this regard.

Jayavidhya. I can log into the unleash app and the unleash web dashboard using the same credentials (login admin, pw ruckus02). The pictures below are the status of the switch and access points taken from the unleashed dashboard. I can log into the switch with putty using a telnet or a serial connection. Using telnet i get the prompt ... telnet@icx7150-c12switch> ... but i cannot get into the OS mode using the instructions below. using the serial connection i cannot get a steady CLI prompt.
This the the instructions i an using:

Hi @ajc
Thanks for the response.
1. While upgrading the switch to latest version, you have upgraded to the code 8095k instead of 8095g. So please perform an upgrade to the code 08095g UFI and upgrade both partitions with the switching code file named SPS08095gufi.bin using the below guide.
1.Upgrade a Switch ICX-7150-C12P using a USB flash drive
2. Upgrade a Switch ICX7150-C12P via TFTP
3. Upgrade a switch via Web GUI (ICX7150 Switch)
2-Make sure the management approval is enabled
3- Also please try to enable LLDP/RSA protocol on the switch using the below commands.
Device>enable
Device#config terminal
Device(config)#lldp run
Device(config)#crypto key generate rsa
Edit the current password and username
device(config)# username super password pass
Where the username is ’super’ and password ‘pass’
1-Hit Add on that dashboard
2-Put the IP address of the ICX switch
3-Username and password for Switch authentication that we created
To sync the data, it will take us a while, so after a couple of minutes the switch should be in connected state.
Please let us know if you have any queries in this regard.
Best regards,
Jayavidhya
