Ruckus connectivity issue

Kmortenson
New Contributor

Hello. We had our power go out a few days ago and when it came back on our Access points didn’t have lights back on them / Wi-Fi wasn’t working anymore.

We have internet through the ports hardwired throughout the house, but the Wi-Fi from the Ruckus is not working and there are no lights showing on the access points.

The router connected to wave can put off a signal, and the ruckus in the wall has all green lights lit up, just can’t get power/signal to the access points.

we have tried all of the steps on the forum. Any help will be appreciated!

Hello, can someone please respond to us ASAP!

This forum is so confusing on how it is organized, I am not seeing our conversation in order

When trying to access the command prompt, we keep getting "connection refused". See picture. Picture2.jpg

Hi @Kmortenson

Please try accessing the switch via SSH and paste the following commands.

1: Type “CMD” from start button and open:

2: Run the Following command: "arp -a", now you can see the IP or internet address of the switch, and the physical address, however you need to know the physical address that can be located on a sticker in the Switch, so you can do the match with the information displayed in the CMD.

3: Now you know the IP or internet address, let's download the free Application that will allow you to gain the remote access.

Visit: https://putty.org/

4: Now open the putty application and enter the information inside the IP field, and choose between SSH or Telnet access, please test both options because the SSH access is not always active by default, but Telnet must work.

SSH:

 Telnet:

5: Access: whichever option you are using, if it asks for a password, enter the following, the enable command allows you to execute more commands to check the switch.

User:  “super”

Password: “sp-admin”

That is what the above picture is from I've tried both SSH and Telnet, and it is saying connection refused. I have tried restarting the ruckus and everything and it still will not let me in through Putty. I used to be able to, but now not anymore it just refuses my attempts at connection every time.
