Ruckus R510 Not Getting Power

Mikestamarski

My AP Ruckus R510 is not getting power from the Ruckus ICX 7150-C12. (no lights on AP R510).  I even disconnected from ceiling and connected with short cable directly to ICX 7150-C12 and still no lights on R510. I then connected the R510 to another AC powered POE extender box and the R510 lights up. There seems to be an issue with the power coming out of the 7150-C12 as my Ring doorbell had the same issue and we connected it to an AC powered POE and it works fine now. Any suggestions?

Thank you for the details provided, seem the Switch may be stuck in boot mode causing that will not provide DATA or PoE (power over Ethernet) to the devices connected, let me add the guide will help to fix the issue

As soon as I  connect via putty - I get line after line (keeps going forever) the following statement " POE Fatal: Vmain (48v) Fault has forced all ports on slot 0 to lose power. Any recommendations on how to fix this?

Hi @Mikestamarski

Based on your troubleshooting you have done, since the ICX 7150-12P is not responding via console, this unit must be RMA (return merchandise authorization) means replace it.

Feel free to contact us via chat, comment you already have a post, copy the link from the post and paste it into the chat to start unit replacement.
