I have several C12Ps, all running 9.0.10j:

The admin guide indicates that dynamic PoE power is configurable:
https://docs.commscope.com/bundle/fastiron-09010-managementguide/page/GUID-CAA036D6-595D-4481-A140-2...
"If you want to configure Static PM to a specific port after enabling Dynamic PM on all ports, configure the required ports with priority 1. Unless the Power Supply Unit (PSU) is removed, Priority 1 ports will never lose power. The following is an example of configuring a specific port to Static PM after Dynamic PM has been configured."
device# configure terminal
device(config)#inline power allocation dynamic all
device(config)# interface ethernet 1/1/15
device(config-if-e1000-1/1/15)#inline power priority 1
However, the CLI does not recognize this command:
SSH@adjunct.madison911.net(config)#inline power allocation dynamic all
Invalid input ->allocation dynamic all
Type ? for a list
Node doesn't exist
SSH@blah.net(config)#
I need this feature in the switch, as I cannot add additional access points to my homes' switches. Despite each AP using at most 11 watts at peak, the switch preallocates 30watts from the budget, limiting the deployment to 4 APs at most. This is well known of course in the 8.x line of code, which is why I moved to 9.0.10j as the release notes and admin guide indicated (as above) that dynamic power was available.

Do you have a link to version 10.0.00 for the C12P?

Hi @chadm
Thank you for the response.
Apologies for the inconvenience.
For the RUCKUS ICX-7150-C12P Switch, the latest version that can be upgraded is 09.0.10j (Released in Jan 2024) which your Switch is currently running on. (please refer to the below link for version details for the 7150 Switch)
We suggest you upgrade your Switch on the SPS code with the same version.
Thank you again for your patience.

Which brings us back full circle to my original ask. I am respectfully requesting adding 'power allocation dynamic' to the C12P code please. If you see my power usage versus the power allocation in the requested CLI outputs, I am unable to add additional devices to the switch, yet am using a fraction of the total power available due to the static allocation the C12P is currently limited to.

Hi @chadm
Thank you for the response.
Apologies for the confusion you have.
As mentioned before the Lennar 7150-C12P Switches can be used with SPS with no additional configurations.
Dynamic power allocation is not possible on 7150-C12P Switches.
It only supports below mentioned models:
Supported version.
Until version 9010 we can only have Static Power Management where the inline power on ports are enabled by default. And for 7150-C12P Switch 9010j is the end of support version.
Thank you again for your understanding.

There was no confusion. I was asking about a feature that the documentation appeared to indicate was supported. It isn't supported. The documentation would benefit from an update ensuring others that might want to use all the available power their switch alleges, but won't provide due to static allocations, will not be enticed to 9.0.10 thinking it supports dynamic power. It doesn't, and Ruckus won't implement it on this switch. If you want to have more than four Class 4 devices on the same switch, you will have to buy an alternative or adjunct product.
