R510 CTR light does not come on after Power Outage

ANG1883

Hi — Please help ASAP. My power went off for a few min the other day and now I am having internet issues. My internet from service provider is working… connected with orange Ethernet cable to Ruckus Router with 2 other Ethernet Cables (Blue)… all have green lights. I have 2 R510 mounted to the ceilings. 1 on the first floor (which has 4 green lights currently) and 1 on the second floor. The 2nd floor R510 has a 3 Green Lights on the Power, 5htz and 2.4... but the CTR is OFF. I have restarted internet a few times, and held the rest button in back of the R510 that isn’t working. Please help!

Hey!

I believe I have corrected the issue with my iPhone and "Termius" App that I downloaded. I haven't fully tested to see if everything is working properly but at least things are loading on my phone and music is playing through my Alexia (which it wasn't doing either before)

As you can see below, the "Running Image" is now referencing "SPS" but the version 08.0.90d... Should I still change this version to 08.0.90e as referenced above or leave as is?

Appreciate all your help!! I'm not sure why Ruckus is not allowed to discuss solutions with Lennar Homeowners for their products.. It makes it extremely difficult to get issues resolved. I hope that changes because that average person will not be able to fix their equipment themselves, even with a step-by-step detail that you have provided. Service (most times) is better that the product itself. If a company/brand doesn't provide the necessary support, then next step is substituting their product for on-demand service.

Again, I appreciate your help!

Hi @ANG1883 ,

Greetings!!!

Thank you for contacting RUCKUS Lennar Home Community.

I hope you are doing well!!!

Thank you for the information you shared.

As per the case description, I understand that your RUCKUS setup is not working after the power outage.

Could you please let us know the answers to the below queries to assist you better?

1.  On your switch while it's plugged into the outlet, do you see any lights on? (Amber or green) Please let us know which lights are on. (Please refer to the below picture and share a picture of the same, showing the light status and the FULL Switch panel cable connections to the Switch ports)

2.  May I know how many Access Points are connected to the Switch? Could you please let me know the light status on the Access Points? Any of these lights are on (Please refer to the below picture and share a picture of the same)

Please help us with pictures of your ICX-7150-C12P Switch showing the status of the lights and cable connections to the Switch ports. Also, light the status of Access Points.

Before uploading the photos please log in to the RUCKUS account and you can upload the image.

Please let us know the answers to ALL the above queries or let us know if you have any queries in this regard.

Thank you again for your patience.

Best regards,

Hi. I do not have a "Camera or Inset Photo" on the top bar. Next to the "Insert Emoji" I have a "Table" button. Lets proceed without he screenshots.

Answers to above questions:

1) On my "Switch" in your first photo.

On the LEFT SIDE under "STATUS" --> The "STAT" light is GREEN.

In the Middle --> The "SYST", "UPDATE", "PWR" lights are GREEN.

On the RIGHT SIDE  --> I have an ORANGE Cable & 2 BLUE Ethernet Cables connected and they are ALL GREEN. (Orange has always been connected to my AT&T Internet Source... ant that is Functioning correctly and GREEN)

2) I have two R510 AP's.

First is on the First/Main Floor. This one has 4 GREEN lights on. (PWR, CTRL, 2.4g, & 5g) ALL GREEN.

Second is on the 2nd Floor. This one currently has 3 GREEN lights on. (PWR, 2.4g, & 5g) are GREEN, but the CTRL light is OFF.

What I tried to do:

I Restarted all devices. (Same issue/No FIX)

I Pressed the "RESET" button on the AP that the "CTL" lights is OFF. (Same Issue/No Fix)

I Moved Ethernet Cables to different ports on "SWITCH". (Same Issue/No Fix)

Hello @ANG1883

Thank you for the response.

From the response shared, I understand that you have 2 Access points and one of which are having all lights turned on and green including CTL and the other AP having all lights except CTL turned Green.

If there are multiple APs, only one among those APs will act as a master AP and that master AP will have their CTL turned on and green. The CTL on all other APs will be off.

Also, I understand that you are facing internet issues after the power outage.

We need to check few configurations on the Switch to assist you further.

Please follow the below steps and help us with the queries,

1.  To check this, we must identify the ‘current’ IP address assigned by your local router to the switch ICX-7150-C12P

I will leave you a guide on how to perform an IP scanner on your local network to identify the switch IP address very easily.

How to find the IP Address of the RUCKUS Devices (Switch and APs) using IP Scanner free applications:

https://community.ruckuswireless.com/t5/RUCKUS-Lennar-Support-Knowledge/How-to-find-the-IP-Address-o...

2. Once we identify the IP address of the switch proceed to access remotely to the device “Command Line”

https://community.ruckuswireless.com/t5/RUCKUS-Lennar-Support-Knowledge/How-to-access-the-Command-Li...

If you can access the Command line should look like this:

ICX7150-C12 Router> OR

ICX7150-C12 Switch>

Please enter the below commands once you log in to CLI and share the output.

Note: Hit Enter to accept each command

enable

show version

show flash

Please share the output of the above commands or share the screenshots if stuck at any step or error (if any) and let me know if you have any queries in this regard.

Thank you again. We appreciate your patience and understanding.

Hi,

Unfortunately am unable to download anything because I'm working off my "Work Computer" which needs admin rights to install any downloads...

I did Identify my IP Address and put it in the search bar. I have logged in utilizing the default User Name and Password from Lennar.

All I see here is my Router Options.

Example: "Monitor", "Stack", "Port", "IP", "System", "Management", "RIP", Command"... Etc.

Is there anything I could do here to test system?
