Sometimes when I power on my PS5, it doesn't get an IP address and fails to connect to the Playstation Network. The PS5 is connected via ethernet (ethernet jack in the wall, that is wired to the ICX switch, that is connected to internet provided modem that does the DHCP). Other devices on my network that connect via the wireless R510 AP's are connected fine with valid IP address, so I don't think the issue is with the modem and DHCP. Any ideas as to what is causing this?
I have the standard ICX7150 and R510 setup. I updated my firmware after a power outage a few years ago. My current version is SPS08095k.bin.
I've noticed there are some newer releases of the firmware. Would any of those address random connectivity issues network?

I’ve experienced similar behavior with a PS5 over Ethernet, and in my case it turned out to be a network-side issue rather than the console itself. Since your wireless devices are getting DHCP addresses normally, it’s worth checking the switch port, Ethernet cable, and link negotiation, and updating to the latest firmware is also a good idea because newer releases often include stability and connectivity improvements. If the issue persists after updating, I’d recommend reviewing the switch logs and testing the PS5 on a different port to help narrow down the cause.
