Lennar hope R510 AP no longer booting up.

I'm having issues with my Lennar At Home Ruckus. I have a ICX7150-C12P and 2 R510 AP. The access points randomly start flashing the PWR and CTL. Repowering the ICX doesn't seem to do anything. I did notice that briefly I had Recover.Me<SN> on my network which matched my AP and another random one that i'm not aware of. I am typing this by a hard line connection to my RUCKUS ICX so it seems the ICX is working fine and internet is fine. I have noticed that power cycling my router seems to kick the AP into gear and they come back up. I don't see the router as being the issue because i'm typing this using the RUCKUS ICX which is connected to the router for internet access.

Edit: I rebooted my router and the AP's finally came back online with solid lights. However, it seems I have to do this frequently. The status lights when I press the status button on my ICX are all green except USB that one is amber when I toggle to it.

I have reset my AP's. For some reason the unleashed mobile app will not connect to them. It showed I was on the ConfigureMe but when I clicked start it would say that the wifi wasn't enabled even though it showed in the top right corner. I had to factory reset them via the browser on my laptop. I also reset the ICX but am not seeing it displayed in the dashboard.

Hi @CodingBrain

Greetings!!!

Thank you for the response and the information you shared.

Are you able to log in to Unleashed System or Unleashed App after a factory reset of the AP and is your Internet connection via RUCKUS working now?

If not, please follow the below steps and help us with the queries,

1. To check this issue, we must identify the ‘current’ IP address assigned by your local router to the switch ICX-7150-C12P

I will leave you a guide on how to perform an IP scanner on your local network to identify the switch IP address very easily.

How to find my Ruckus “Devices IP address” using free applications:

https://community.ruckuswireless.com/t5/RUCKUS-Support-for-Lennar-Homes/How-to-find-my-Ruckus-Device...

2. Once we identify the IP address of the switch proceed to access remotely to the device “Command Line”

How to remotely access to 'ICX 7150-C12P' or 'access points' "Network devices":

https://community.ruckuswireless.com/t5/RUCKUS-Support-for-Lennar-Homes/How-to-remotely-access-to-IC...

If you can access the Command line should look like this:

ICX7150-C12 Router> OR

ICX7150-C12 Switch>

Please enter the below commands once you log in to CLI and share the output.

Note: Hit Enter to accept each command

enable

show version

show flash

Please share the output of the above commands or share the screenshots if stuck at any step or error (if any) and let me know if you have any queries in this regard.

Thank you again for your patience and understanding.

Hello Emran,

When I ssh into my ICX and run commands it doesn't seem to recognize them. This is what I see.

Welcome to Ruckus Unleashed Network Command Line Interface

Hi @CodingBrain

Thank you for the response and the update.

As you are trying to SSH using the Access Point’s IP Address, that’s the reason to get the “ruckus>” prompt.

As mentioned in my previous post, the Switch prompt on CLI should look like the below:

ICX7150-C12 Router> OR

ICX7150-C12 Switch>

Please run the IP Scanner and confirm the Switch IP Address first, and once it is confirmed please try to log in to the CLI and help us with the command outputs.

You should see the Switch Dashboard as shown in the below screenshot to confirm it’s a Switch IP Address.

To confirm the Switch IP address, try to access your switch from a web browser by pasting the below URL in http or https form whichever that works.

https://0.0.0.0 or http://0.0.0.0 (IP address of Switch. 0.0.0.0 is just as an example)

Once you confirm the Switch IP Address, please try to access the CLI as mentioned in the other guide from the last post and help us with the command outputs.

Please let me know if you have any queries in this regard.

Thank you again for your patience and understanding.

It looks like only telnet and web are enable for the switch. Is there instructions on how to enable ssh for the switch?
