ICX7150 auto rebooting every 15 minutes or more frequently

We had a brief power outage a few days ago that lasted about 10 minutes. After the power was restored, we started to notice that the WiFi would intermittently drop. At first, I thought it was the Ruckus APs that were causing the WiFi to drop. Last night, I just happened to observe the WiFi drop (AP's were blinking) and I rushed over to observe the Switch. The Switch was rebooting. I camped out and watched the Switch for about 10 to 15 minutes and it rebooted again. This has been driving us crazy. We work remotely and rely on the WiFi.

Hi @On-the-green

Based on the information it seems that your switch is running in an older version (8080d). To avoid any issues in the future, we suggest you Upgrade the switch to a new latest stable version (8095g version).

The recommended stable version is 8095g.

Below are the options or methods to perform the Upgrade on the switch:

1st Option:

In this option, we will use a pen drive or USB flash drive in which we move the files to the pen drive and connect it to the Switch then through CLI we execute the commands to upgrade the Switch using the following guide as a reference:

2nd Option:

The following guide is an example of an upgrade via TFTP server, by using an application (FREE) to send files or upload remote files to a device, in our case, we will use it to update a new version to the Switch, basically it will send the image version remotely from the computer to the switch.

Hello

I am following this guide: https://community.ruckuswireless.com/t5/RUCKUS-Support-for-Lennar-Homes/How-to-Upgrade-a-Switch-ICX-...

However, the zip file (folder ICX7150) does not contain a boot folder as described in step 8.

Here is the folder structure of the zip file folder ICX7150.

Can you please point me to the boot file? Thank you.

Hi @On-the-green

Greetings!!!

Thank you for the response.

Please note boot image will be available on in 8080f zip file.

You upgrade folder should contains below 3 files.

  1. mnz10114.bin (From 08080f zip file)
  2. SPS08080f.bin (From 08080f zip file)
  3. SPS08095gufi.bin (From 08095g zip file)

You upgrade path will be 08080d (your current switch version)>>08080f>>08095g

We suggest using a Windows laptop/PC for the upgrade process. Since we have seen some issues with the MAC device.

Please let us know if you have any queries in this regard.

Thank you again for your patience and understanding.
