Hello Ruckus Support,
I'm a Lennar Homes resident and my ICX7150 switch (ICX7150-12 PoE, PVT1; bootloader 10.1.27T225, Jan 16 2025 build) has stopped booting. I believe the unit has a hardware/DRAM fault and would like to request an RMA or replacement guidance.
Symptoms:
- The switch no longer completes boot. Only the SYST and PWR LEDs light up; the network is down.
- Via the USB-C console (9600 baud), the bootloader banner appears, then: "DRAM: Validate Shmoo parameters stored in flash ..... failed!"
- The bootloader then runs a full DDR memory recalibration (RD_EN, RD_EXTENDED, WR_EXTENDED, ADDR_EXTENDED shmoo plots), but on reaching the final CTRL_EXTENDED stage it hangs indefinitely and never reaches the "Enter 'b' to stop at boot monitor" prompt.
- This repeats identically on every boot attempt. I have observed at least two consecutive cycles ending in the same "failed!" validation, including after a full cold boot (power disconnected 60+ seconds).
Troubleshooting already performed:
- Followed the community guide "How to perform a Software recovery on an ICX7150 switch" up to the console step.
- Confirmed working console access (Silicon Labs CP210x driver installed, COM3, 9600/8/N/1, no flow control) — console output is received reliably, so the console path is not the issue.
- Multiple power cycles, including a 60-second cold boot.
- Software recovery via TFTP cannot be attempted because the unit never reaches the boot monitor prompt.
Since the failure occurs during DRAM training before any firmware loads, a software recovery does not appear possible. Could you please advise on RMA/replacement options for this unit?
