1 ACCEPTED SOLUTION

Hi @jedy52

Thank you for the response and the update.

Apologies, as I see from the screenshot you shared, your RUCKUS Switch isn’t getting upgraded as per the process. You have used Switch IP Address in place of TFTP IP Address (Please refer to the below screenshot). Please use the TFTP IP Address in the command. (command- ‘copy tftp flash <tftp ip address> SPS08095gufi.bin primary').

It should look like as shown in the below screenshot.

Please follow the below steps as shown in the screenshot.

1. Browse and select the Upgrade folder containing .bin file. (192.168.0.2 is the TFTP IP address in the below example, please use your TFTP IP address in same place)

2. Click on ‘Show Dir’>>select 1st file>>hit copy

3. Open the CLI/Telnet and type the below command and copy the SPS08095gufi.bin file by right click on the mouse. (Ex: copy tftp flash <ip address> <right click> primary) Press Enter and now your tftp image will start copying.

copy tftp flash <tftp ip address> SPS08095gufi.bin primary

Please check and let me know if you have any queries in this regard.

Thank you again for your patience and understanding.

Im stuck at this after crypto key generate - shows successfully created..  how do i do these next steps.  How to confirm show ip ssh config

Please follow to the above process and confirm if the SSH status is enabled from the ‘show ip ssh config’ command. Once it is confirmed, please check the Switch status on the Unleashed dashboard.

As I see your Switch is on a Non-UFI version (highlighted in the below screenshot). We suggest upgrading your switch to the latest UFI stable version to avoid this issue in the future. Please let us know once you complete the above process to assist you with the Upgrade of the Switch.

How do i upgrade this?

Hi @jedy52

Thank you for the response and the information you shared.

Now SSH is enabled on your Switch (please refer to the below screenshot). Please check if the Switch on the Unleashed system is connected.

Please follow the below steps explaining the Upgrade process.

The recommended stable version is 8095g (08.0.95g)

The Upgrade path would be: 08090k (your current version)>> 8095g

(PLEASE NOTE: Use 08095g patch in place of 8095h as explained in the guide and IGNORE 08080f and 8095h)

Your Upgrade folder should contain the 1 file shown in the below screenshot: (Refer the guide link for more information)

Below are the options or methods to perform the Upgrade on the switch: You could choose any one of these.

1st Option:

1. In this option, we will use a pen drive or USB flash drive in which we move the files to the pen drive and connect it to the Switch then through CLI we execute the commands to upgrade the Switch using the following guide as a reference:

How to Upgrade a Switch ICX-7150-C12P using a USB flash drive

https://community.ruckuswireless.com/t5/RUCKUS-Support-for-Lennar-Homes/How-to-Upgrade-a-Switch-ICX-...

2nd Option:

2. The following guide is an example of an upgrade via TFTP server, by using an application (FREE) to send files or upload remote files to a device, in our case, we will use it to update a new version to the Switch, basically it will send the image version remotely from the computer to the switch.

How to upgrade a Switch ICX7150-C12P via TFTP

https://community.ruckuswireless.com/t5/RUCKUS-Support-for-Lennar-Homes/How-to-Upgrade-a-Switch-ICX-...

3rd Option:

3. In this option we Upgrade the Switch from the Web Interface (GUI) of switch.

https://community.ruckuswireless.com/t5/RUCKUS-Support-for-Lennar-Homes/How-to-perform-an-Upgrade-vi...

Try to access your switch from a web browser by pasting the below URL in http or https form whichever that works.

https://0.0.0.0 or http://0.0.0.0 (IP address of Switch. 0.0.0.0 is just as an example)

As you can access CLI, I would suggest you follow the 2nd option.

Please let me know if you have any queries in this regard.

Thank you again for your patience and understanding.
