Hi,

I was trying the steps you shared with me.

I did the reset process more than times, but nothing works. So, i was not able to connect via serial cable. Incredible to see that an expensive switch like this one is corrupt it and can not be fixed.

Regards,

Hi @jsulloa

Thank you for the response and the update.

Apologies for the inconvenience caused.

Could you please confirm if you have tried performing the Software Recovery process using a Windows laptop?
Additionally, kindly share a picture showing the Software Recovery cable connections between the Switch and the laptop so we can assist you further.

Thank you again for your patience and understanding.

Hi, yes i was using a Windows computer and tried to connect using Putty software.

i did the same on MAC that is my regular basis and i was reading in many forums about it. It looks like something on the switch is corrupted and there is no access via serial cable, reason why does not show anything less than some weird characters.

What can i do to use the switch?

Hi @jsulloa

Thank you for the response and the update.

From the picture you shared, I noticed that only the Ethernet cable is connected as shown in the Software Recovery article. Please note that both connections are required for the recovery process:

One Ethernet cable (RJ45 to RJ45)

One USB-to-Type-C cable

(Refer to the screenshot below.)

Kindly connect both cables simultaneously and perform the Software Recovery process again.

Please let me know if you have any questions or need assistance at any step.

Thank you again for your patience and understanding.

Best regards,
