Hello,
My network is up and I have internet but when I look in the web GUI my switch shows as disconnected. Why is that? Since I have internet does it matter?

Hi @MariaVal
If your Internet is working fine , it does not matter basically, this happens because the switch ( ICX -7150 -C12P ) does not synchronize correctly with your Wireless access points ( R510 ).For the switch to come out as connected, a tunnel must be established, which must meet certain requirements , If this is not done, it will come out as disconnected.
In order see the ICX 7150 - C12P in the unleashed app is a bit tricky.
1-Make sure the Switch is on version 8090+ later software version
2-Make sure the management approval is enabled
3- It would be great if you enable LLDP/RSA protocol on the switch side here is the commands:
Device>enable
Device#config terminal
Device(config)#lldp run
Device(config)#crypto key generate rsa
Edit the current password and username
device(config)# username super password pass
Where the username is ’super’ and password ‘pass’
Unleashed dashboard
1-Hit Add on that dashboard
2-Put the IP address of the ICX switch
3-Username and password for Switch authentication that we created
To sync the data, it will take us a while, so after a couple of minutes it should say connected

Hi,
Thanks for the reply. I have SW: Version 08.0.90dT211 and the approval was enabled. Where do I enter the commands to enable the protocol?

Hi @MariaVal
1- we must identify the ‘currently’ IP address assigned by your local router to the switch
An IP address is a unique address (logical) that identifies a device on the internet or a local network like your home (this can change and may not be the same as the one shown on the dashboard)
-We can try the IP address that shows in the dashboard copy and paste it in the URL if that redirects you to the login page for the ICX-7150-C12P that is the correct one if not.
I will leave you a guide how to perform an IP scanner on your local network to identify the switch IP address very easily.
How to find my Ruckus “Devices IP address” using free applications
2-Once we identified the IP address of the switch proceed to access remote to the device 'command Line'
How to remotely access to 'ICX 7150-12P' or 'access points' "Network devices"
If you can access to the Command line should look like this:
ICX7150-C12 Switch>
3-If using the IP address is not an option please use the physical console cable ( USB type C to USB ) to log in into the switch
How to console in the ICX-7150-C12P
