Err_Connection_timed_out

Been in this home for a couple years now and our internet has been functioning great till a couple of weeks ago. There was an outage with our ISP and ever since they restored service nothing has been the same. We cannot stream on any wireless devices or if I'm on a teams call it will disconnect and reconnect every few minutes.

We have a Ruckus ICX 7150-C12P

We have one wired desktop and I can get on the internet but whenever I go to a website I haven't frequented I continually get ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT, if I release and renew the IP the page will load but will fail after a couple of minutes again.

I've power cycled the modem, router and switch numerous times. I've connected directly to the router and flushed DNS. None of this has improved anything. Do I have to connect via USB to the switch to look at the configuration? I can't even ping 192.168.1.1 from my desktop.

Hi @GimpeeBowhunter

Thanks for your response.

This issue may happen when the Switch runs on the Routing code. The Switch should run on the Switching code (SPS) to avoid these issues for Lennar home users. If the Switch boots up on the other partition (Due to a power outage/power spike) which may be running on a ‘Routing Code’ results in causing this issue.

You can take Console access to the switch in order to verify, if the switch is able to connect properly to Access Points or if it has a ‘Routing Code’ issue which happens due to power outages most of the time, this is a known issue for Lennar home users.

1. To check this issue, we must identify the ‘current’ IP address assigned by your local router to the switch ICX-7150-C12P

I will leave you a guide on how to perform an IP scanner on your local network to identify the switch IP address very easily.

How to find my Ruckus “Devices IP address” using free applications:

2. Once we identify the IP address of the switch proceed to access remotely to the device “Command Line”

How to remotely access to 'ICX 7150-C12P' or 'access points' "Network devices":

https://community.ruckuswireless.com/t5/RUCKUS-Support-for-Lennar-Homes/How-to-remotely-access-to-IC...

If you can access the Command line should look like this:

ICX7150-C12 Router> OR

ICX7150-C12 Switch>

Please enter the below commands once you log in to CLI and share the output.

Note: Hit Enter to accept each command

enable

show version

show flash

Once you are done with the above process please share the output of the above commands.

Please let us know if you have any queries in this regard.

I downloaded the scanner and found the IP of the wireless 192.168.1.65.  I put that in to a browser and I get "ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED"

When I run the Advanced IP Scanner I only see options for Ruckus Wireless 192.168.1.159 and Ruckus-Unleased.lan
