Some of my devices are not connecting to my Ruckus (ICX 7150-C12P). This seems to happen intermittently and randomly. Nothing has changed at home. Please help. Thank you!

Hi @JC
Greetings!!!
Thank you for your response and the update.
Based on the picture you shared, it appears that the cable from your Internet Service Provider’s (ISP) router or Access Point is connected to the incorrect port on the RUCKUS ICX-7150-C12P Switch. The cable should be connected to one of the 1-12 ports on the switch (please refer to the screenshots below). Kindly unplug the cable and reconnect it to the appropriate port. Afterward, please reboot the ISP router by unplugging and plugging it back into the power outlet. Once done, check your internet connection.

Please let me know how it goes, and feel free to reach out if further assistance is needed.
Thank you again for your patience and understanding.
Best regards,
Imran Sanadi

Hello, the cable from the ISP is connected to 1 of the 12 ports. I've placed a red circle around the cable in the pic. This problem spontaneously started in June without anything been changed since we purchased the house around 2020. I think I need to replace the Ruckus Switch or replace the whole thing with a new system. Is my Switch under warranty? Please help me resolve this since this ongoing issue has significantly affected work and life. Thank you very much.

Hi @JC
Thank you for your response and the update.
As mentioned in my previous post, please unplug the green cable from the incorrect port and connect it to any one of the ports numbered 1 through 12. Your ISP or any other device should always be connected to one of these ports.
Based on the LED status and command outputs, your switch appears to be operating normally. Please note that, as per company policy, software-related issues are not covered under warranty since they can typically be resolved through troubleshooting steps. Warranty and replacement coverage apply only in cases of hardware failure.
Additionally, I noticed that your switch is currently running an older version (8080d). We recommend upgrading it to a more recent, supported version for optimal performance and stability.
You can refer to the following RUCKUS Lennar Knowledge Base self-help article for the switch upgrade process:
https://community.ruckuswireless.com/t5/RUCKUS-Lennar-Support-Knowledge/How-to-upgrade-RUCKUS-ICX-71...
Important: Since you have CLI access, we recommend using Option 1 (TFTP method), as it offers more control and flexibility during the upgrade process.
Please let me know how it goes, or feel free to reach out if you have any questions.
Thank you again for your patience.
Best regards,
Imran Sanadi
