Hello,
We have an ICX 7150-C12P switch, with HiLite as our ISP. We have two APs, an ASUS wifi router, and several wired ethernet ports connected to the switch. Anything connected to the switch, wired directly via ethernet ports or over wifi via the APs, periodically loses its internet connection. It's happening multiple times per day. When we connect the ASUS router directly to the HiLite box, no issues with staying connected, but we'd like to use the Ruckus switch since it has more ports. I connected to the switch serial console via USB C and verified the switch is running in switch mode. I tried restarting the ISP box and the switch (and verified the switch came back up still in switch mode), and the connection loses are still happening. All googling points me to the issue where switches sometimes come back from a power outage in router mode, but it's coming back up in switch mode every time. What else could be going on here?

Hello @rfae ,
Greetings!
Thank you for contacting RUCKUS Lennar Home Community.
I hope you are doing well!!!
Thank you for the information you shared.
From the case description, I understand that you are facing connection issues.
Before we can help, we need to check few configurations on the Switch and which version the Switch is currently running.
Please follow the below steps and help us with the queries,
1) To check this, we must identify the ‘current’ IP address assigned by your local router to the switch ICX-7150-C12P
I will leave you a guide on how to perform an IP scanner on your local network to identify the switch IP address very easily.
How to find the IP Address of the RUCKUS Devices (Switch and APs) using IP Scanner free applications:
2) Once we identify the IP address of the switch proceed to access remotely to the device “Command Line”
If you can access the Command line should look like this:
ICX7150-C12 Router> OR
ICX7150-C12 Switch>
Please enter the below commands once you log in to CLI and share the output.
Note: Hit Enter to accept each command
enable
show version
show flash
Please share the output of the above commands or share the screenshots if stuck at any step or error (if any) and let me know if you have any queries in this regard.
Thank you again. We appreciate your patience and understanding.
Best regards,
Pinky Rajendran

I fixed my issue. The problem turned out to be with the router between the ISP and the Ruckus switch.
Thank you for your reply, Pinky. For the record, I had issues getting the switch to show up on an IP scan and had to use the console connection to run the commands you suggested. The prompt came up with "ICX7150-C12 Switch>", so it was running in switch mode, but the issues I was having getting the switch to be detected by an IP scan led to me discovering the router problem. Fixing that fixed the connectivity issues. Good to go now!
