AP switch

Does anyone know if you can plug a non Ruckus (unmanaged) switch to a AP 2nd port to feed internet to other devices? For example, my 2nd floor AP R510 has a 2nd port on it. I was going to simply connect into the 2nd port to have a hardwired connection to apple tv, laptop etc. Is this something I can do or no? If not recommended or will impact the Ruckus system could I then.... take the homerun feeding the 2nd floor AP and connect it into the unmanaged non Ruckus switch and plug the AP into the switch and not utilize the 2nd Port.

Hi @jgardner

Yes, You can connect the non RUCKUS (unmanaged) switch to the empty port of the Access Points or to the switch. For your information, one of the ports in access points is used for PoE data and the other port (empty port) is used for the data transfer.
