192.168.0.2 is not alive and Switch in boot mode after power outage

Hello,

We had a power shortage and ICX7150 stops working.

I connected my laptop to the Ruckus ICX 7150-C12P Switch via putty but the switch remains in "boot" mode. I tried booting from the primary and secondary partitions but for both it says corrupted.

So I followed instructions in this link to try and install a new image, however now I am stuck at "host 192.168.0.2 is not alive" I set all the required environment variables (as can be seen from the snip below). Please help!

Based on the other's post, I found out I have the same issue with others so I need to file RMA. When I file the RMA, they said I cannot do it because I am Lennar's customer and I need your guy's help here to file the RMA. If you could help me, I will be appreciated it.

For "host 192.168.0.2 is not alive"

Are you turning off the Windows firewall?

Try ping from your laptop to switch, 192.168.0.3

Hi @fan_the_man

Thank you for contacting Lennar Home Community.

Hope you are doing well!!!

From the case description, I could understand that your ICX-7150-C12P Switch is stuck on boot mode, and you are in the process of Software recovery.

As mentioned, could you please try to ping from the Laptop to the Switch i.e., 192.168.0.3?

Also, please try to reset the Switch as described below:

1. Please try to disconnect from the Power outlet the ICX-7150 and reconnect.

2. Please try to press the reset button using a paper click or a small stick

  • Remove power from the switch.
  • Press and hold the Reset button while applying power to the switch.
  • After all the system LEDs flash amber, release the Reset button.
