unable to upgrade ICX7150-c12p firmware.

Hi,

I'm trying to upgrade switch to latest stable firmware. My current firmware is non-ufi. Here are the details

  • Model: ICX7150-C12p

  • Current Firmware: 08.0.80dT211

  • Connected devices / PoE load: 2 R510 APs, 2-3 laptops. 2 gaming devices, 4 phones and few other IoT devices

    So far I have tried,

copy scp ... → Invalid input

copy tftp ... → TFTP disabled

    copy disk0 ... → Invalid input / disk0 not recognized / TFTP disabled

copy xmodem flash → Invalid input

I'm able to screen to switch using console port but none of the copying methods work. What am I missing here?

Thanks
NT

Hi Pinky,

I had tried following the shared link before I posted for help. Problem in my case was that none of the CLI commands, copy/tftp copy etc were working at all.
Finally the method that worked for me was boot from usb. I had to delete the startup-config file( after taking backup), reload, get into boot mode and then use option `factory set-default`. It trigerred boot from usb. Pls note that you'll need the whole firmware package on the usb. Unzip the whole zip ( all the different folders, manifests, signature file etc) at the usb root, not just the bin file. To be safe, I upgraded to 08080f with this, which fixed all the CLI  issues. After that I was able to simply copy latest bin file(tftp) and reload to upgrade to 09010k. I hope this helps someone who is stuck in a similar way.

Thanks for looking into this.
