Ruckus ICX7150 Configuration Auto Backup

Hello,

We have a lot of Ruckus ICX7150 switches in our company and I would like to configure configuration auto backup to ftp/sftp/tftp.Manually do backup is awful.

I can't find anu configuration regarding this task. Is it possible?

I suppose you are trying automate taking backup from the switch. 

Could you please let us know if you are from Lennar Homes ? 

Could you please let us know if you are using a tool from your end to fetch the configuration from the switch ? 

Is the switch part of SmartZone or any other monitoring tool ?

Yes, I would like to automate configuration backup. 

No, I'm not from Lennar Homes. Switch is not a part of SmartZone. I don't use any application, I thought do it just with configuration.

Would you be able to share a link or example for the auto backup you are trying to achieve. Like any reference links or any other vendor links you have referred due to which you may be looking for that feature with these switches. 

I can maybe look into the links you share to understand better on how it can be achieved using a command on the switch and could let you know if such a feature is present on our switches. 

I referred management guide to check but could not find such options. Please take a look at the below link and let me know if there are any concerns.

The command we use manually on the switch to copy configuration is below:

• copy startup-config tftp <ip address of TFTP server> <filename to save>

Other options I could see from one of the Lab switch is below. 

ICX7150-48PF Switch#copy startup-config ?
disk0 To an external USB disk file
https To a HTTPS server
scp To a scp file
tftp To a tftp file
ICX7150-48PF Switch#copy startup-config
