ICX 7150 connecting to ICX 7850

Hello,

I have an ICX 7850 (08.0.95g) as my distributed core. I can connect 7250s just fine, but I cannot link 7150s (08.0.95g). I've tried the connection with both multimode and single mode. The sfp modules match, the speed-duplex matches, the vlan's match. The media is validated on both ports. Any ideas here?

Down at layer 1. Could you try this?

ICX(config-if-e10000-1/2/2)#gig-default neg-off

Are either of the ports up at layer 1? (show int eth x/y/z)

Also, what are the exact switch models/modules/ports being used?

If we are never coming up at layer 1, it generally (but not always) points to media (optics, fiber, patching, etc.). There are occasionally exceptions with certain modules/ports.

Exact models are 7850-48F and 7150-c08p. (Though I've tried this with 7150-12p and 10p with same results.)

The port on the 7850 will go from listening to forwarding with LEDs coming on the front panel. The port on the 7150 will remain in blocking.

For the 7850:

Port Supported Vendor Type
----------------------------------------------------------------------
2/1/35 Yes RUCKUS Type : 1GE M-SX(SFP)

for the 7150:

Port Supported Vendor Type

----------------------------------------------------------------------

1/2/2 Yes RUCKUS Type : 1GE M-SX(SFP)

So it is up for sure on 7850 side. What does 'show int e x/y/z' look like on 7150 side?
