I am trying to connect to my switch via telnet, so I don't have to keep running upstairs to console in. I'm over a wired connection directly to it and it is refusing my connection from linux terminal.
I have consoled in and enabled the telnet password, and the super user password, and I've verified in the console that the service shows as enabled. I'm not sure why my connection is being refused, I'm trying the command with/without the port, with/without the terminal.
Funny enough before I set the password, it seemed to work, but then I made a dumb mistake of switching to the router firmware and had to flip back, but then got it back up and running and now with the telnet password enabled, but now it's showing as connection refused. No idea why.
