Good morning,
On a ICX 7750 stack running Version:08.0.95gT241 we have a user that we dont know the password for. Is there a way for me to delete this user without that users password? This user is from a previous network admin and we need it gone for security purposes.
Thanks

Sorry i found the hashed password but its not accepting it. I have tried the whole thing, excluding the enable, excluding the $1$ as well as excluding $1$EpZYaPLe$ Is there a certain portion of that hashed string that it needs? I have pasted below what i see.
$1$EpZYaPLe$j5KDCAhzIwkoCdkJjj3eo1qenabled

Hi kvon12
On software versions 09010 or older, where the password is shown as a sequence of dots in the configuration instead of a hashed sequence, you should be able to remove the user with the no username <user> command (with no password) as long as there is at least one more user configured.
but if the user you are trying to remove is the only one in configuration, you may not be able to remove it, newer ICX software versions enforce the configuration of at least one user and password.

Good Morning,
The sequence of dots shows in the running config but i do see the hash when i do a show users. I tried to delete without the password but i get "Error: current password doesn't match. Access denied" I have tried the password of the user i am logged in as as well as any combination of the hash i can think of. Anything else i can try before a factory reset?
Thanks
