What is the SOLO firmware for?

Been trying to figure out what exactly the SOLO firmware is for.  I have just one R500 AP.  I've searched the forums, FAQ and Google, but there is nothing that explicitly states what the SOLO firmware is for.

can't connect AP and smartzone-100

Dear all, I have to implement the smartzone-100 and H510,R310,R500. I can't connect my AP(H510,R310,R500) to the smartzone-100. what do i need for AP and controller? AP can't connect to the controller and AP and controller are the same network.

I have some outdoor Access Point that are needing some new ink or some repair, in some places the plastic is wrecked (in 7782S and N near the PoE input). They are operational but needing some cosmetic refresh. Does anyone here did that already?thanks...
