just to add to this I have had this issue with various internet providers mainly optimum with wifi calling.
above will fix your issue in most cases if you ping the epdg it seems to start working around a mtu of 1470 and adjusting the wan interface ...
I have two debug logs , I am going submit them under my case. .233 on r550's constant kernel panics.
disabled the wifi ssids and downgraded back to .212.

Any info on this, i went back and forth between ruckus and cisco, switch sees it as class 4 but will not go into at mode. Finally gave up on it, the only commands i saw were auto or af.
