Resolve Rescue MODE for ZONEDIRECTOR 1100

How can i resolve this issue, RESCUE MODE for ZONEDIRECTOR 1100, system can't boot the ZONE DIRECTOR Image correctly?

Looks like the ZD is on very old version. 
Early Ruckus ZoneDirector (Server) Supports only TLS 1.0, did not support TLS 1.1 , TLS 1.2 and SSL 3.0 Cipher Suites.

To fix this, you might need to use a very old browser version. Try Firefox version 30 or something.

Well, that helped me get it running but sadly during a firmware upgrade I seem to have taken a power glitch and have bricked my ZD1100. I can't get it to do anything now. An work-around for a firmware interruption? I've tried a factory reset but that did no good. 192.168.0.2 takes me to the rescue screen and I'm dead in the water now. Can't FDISK, can't upgrade f/w, can't reboot. This is the most difficult device I have ever work on. Any ideas to save this or has it become my newest boat anchor.

Hi @uplinkal

If you are sure that the Hard Reset went through then the Zone Director might have gone faulty. 

Or Try to Hard Reset the Zone Director by following the below steps. 

- Locate the Reset pinhole on the front panel of the Zone director.
- Insert a paper clip or any point object into the RESET hole and press & hold it for 15-20 seconds.
- This factory defaults the ZD.

If the above does not help then please raise a support case to initiate the RMA.

I finally got the Ruckus ZD1100 to work and logged in OK. I am confused with the instructions on how to pair it with the R700. Any short cuts or anything simplified for me to understand. I am new at this. Do I need a new license? Or can I use it as-is.

Hi @uplinkal

In order to support R700 the ZD should start with the firmware 9.8.0.0.203. From the above replies, I noticed the ZD is on 9.6 or 9.7. 

Once the ZD is on 9.8 version the AP should get connected. Please login into the AP CLI and execute the commands "get version" and "get director". 
If the AP is not getting connected. please execute the command "set director ip <IP of the Zone Director>" and "reboot". 

ZD comes with 5 licenses. Please let us know the number of AP you are trying to connect.
