We had a failure of our zd1100.
we got a new one and tried to install backup, but error that this backup is not for this firmware.
Already tried 2 different firmwares and still the same error.
Is there a way to figure out what firmware the backup file will work with?

Hi Benny,
From what i remember the backup config includes also the version of the firmware.
Did you install that version on the ZD1100 ?
regards
Martin

Hi Martin,
what do you mean with the backup config?
I only have a .bak file....with no indication of version on the name.

Sorry, I just checked on my 1100 and it doesn't show the version in the filename.
If you don't know the software version that was running on the 1100, best is to open a case via the support portal, as we can see the version by looking at the file.
regards
Martin

Yes, Ruckus Tech Support can read a .bak ZD backup file, which includes version info, so you can match the same (previous?) version and restore your configuration.
You may wind up needing to upgrade again, but will not need to redefine all your WLANs, AP groups, etc.
