Blocking iMessage with application denial policies

I am attempting to prevent users of our WiFi from sending and receiving messages via Apple's iMessage service on their WiFi only mobile devices. I have enabled application awareness on our Zonedirector and created a policy to block iMessage. THis policy is then applied to the relevant SSID.

However, iMessage isn't blocked. Can anyone advise what might be wrong, or if there's a different way to achieve this?

It is 10.1.1.0 build 55

Hi Wood,

I am not aware about any known issue but you can always upgrade to the recommended version 10.2.1.0.183 and see if it makes any difference.

If you wish to troubleshoot this on current version, please open a support case.

Thanks for the advice but we can't upgrade the firmware any further as it will render our R500 access points unusable. I'll raise a support case.
