un activated licenses

can I transfer licenses that are not activated from one ZD 3000 to another ZD 3000?

Hey Nat,

ZD licenses are by default activated by Ruckus Orders Support team during the PO process, However, if it is not activated, you can certainly activate them on the correct ZD SN. But they cannot be transferred, since ZD licenses are traditional licenses.

so then when these guys are telling me that there are 100 licenses on the 3000 and only 25 of them were activated but he can't transfer the 75 remaining ones to another controller, he's right?
so if we want to buy a different controller with 25 licenses for ourselves for our 25 zoneflex APs that are running on the controller with the 100 licenses, we can? thanks for all your help!

That's right, Nat. 75 AP licenses can't be transferred to another controller. And yes, if you would like to have another controller in the network, then the licenses (here the default licenses should work, if the requirement is only 25) should be purchased on it.
