In my Upgrade section I never see anything other than the local upgrade option. The online option never shows up. I am trying to troubleshoot this and wondering exactly what server it is trying to connect to for the online service. I don't think I have anything that would be blocking it. What server does it look for? I can ping to the internet so I at least I know that is not the issue. I am running 200.18.7.1.323. Master is R550.
Thanks

Hi @ghiner
Thank you for the response and the information.
Since your RUCKUS Unleashed system is running 200.18.7.1.323 on the Master Ruckus R550, it is sometimes normal that you may only see the Local Upgrade option.
In some cases, the Online Upgrade option may not appear if the controller cannot query the upgrade repository or if a newer build is not being returned during the check. Because of this, many administrators simply proceed with the Local Upgrade method, which is the recommended approach when the Online option is not visible.
You can download the latest Unleashed firmware for your AP model from the Ruckus Networks support portal and upload it through:
Admin & Services >> Administration >> Upgrade >> Local Upgrade
After uploading the firmware file, the Master AP will upgrade and then automatically upgrade the member APs in the network.
Let us know if you need help locating the correct firmware file.
Thank you again for your patience and understanding.

Hi @ghiner
Thank you for the response.
Glad to hear the Local Upgrade worked on your RUCKUS Unleashed network.
It’s actually not uncommon for the Online Upgrade option to remain unavailable even after upgrading. This typically happens if the controller is still unable to query the upgrade repository or if no newer firmware is being returned for your current version and model (Ruckus R550).
As long as the system is operating normally, you can continue using the Local Upgrade method, which is fully supported and commonly used.
I will check internally on this if we have any issues and get back to you.
Meanwhile if you’d still like to check, you can verify:
DNS resolution is working correctly
Outbound HTTPS (TCP 443) is allowed
Thank you again for your continued patience.
Best regards,
Imran Sanadi

Hi @ghiner,
Are you using OEM ap? Like Snapone OEM?
If not, is this your own AP which was working and now not showing up the Online Upgrade?
If this is a new AP, from where did you purchase?
