We're transitioning from Cisco 5500 WLCs to Ruckus (vSZ-E 6.1, hosted in Azure) and have set up a Guest Access captive portal with "Always Accept" for our Guest SSID where user has to accept terms and conditions for internet access. It’s mostly working, but we’re facing a few issues:
Mobile Redirect – Windows devices redirect fine, but iOS/Android users aren't redirected automatically. Is there a fix for this?
SSL Certificate Warning – Since the portal is served by the AP (AP's local IP), users see a "connection not private" warning. How can we use a public cert with APs to avoid this?
Portal Hosting from vSZ – Ideally, we’d like to server the portal from the APs as we do not want the Guest to break when controller goes down, if using controller to host the portal is the only way then the guest VLAN is isolated and has no access to vSZ (in Azure). What are our options here? We do not have any domain associated with our our vSZ-E
Ruckus documentation hasn’t been very clear on these. Would this be worth opening a support ticket for?
