Hi;
I'm new in Ruckus Devices. I have Smart Zone Controller having the VIRTUAL SMARTZONE - HIGH SCALE Software on that. I want to use the IoT Controller Suite NODE RED Option to get the devices information on my webserver.
How can I use the IoT Controller Suite Node Red Option? Do I have to update the software somewhere or connect some device with the SmartZone controller?
Please Guide.
Regards

Hi @laeeq2410
You will have to create a new vRIOT Controller to manage IoT devices and to use the Rules engine (Node RED). I have shared the installation, configuration and software download links below for the latest version (2.0). Please refer to them and let us know if you have any questions.

Hi Phiravin;
Thanks for helping me. I'm a little bit confused. I'm using H510 AP and vzs 5.1 smartzone controller. Do i have to connect the i100 IoT module to use the IoT Controller Suite or i have to upgrade the software of Access point of Smartzone controller software?
Secondly through node-red i want to read the devices information of individual APs and send it to the Web Application. Will Node Red Rules allow me to program this scenario?

Hi @laeeq2410
If you need to manage IoT devices in your network, then yes, you would have to connect IoT Modules to the AP. The AP will still be managed by vSZ. The IoT controller is a separate VM used to manage the APs where you have the IoT module connected. As you are in 5.1 version, IoT 2.0 is not compatible. IoT 2.0 version requires vSZ 6.1 version. You can get all the documents that I shared above from our support site (support.ruckuswireless.com > Documents > Select IoT Module > Documents). A login is required to be able to view or download any document or software. Please check the IoT compatibility matrix from respective version's release notes. I have shared the release notes for IoT 1.8 version. Please refer to page 13 and 14 for compatibility matrix.

Yes, you can send data from Node RED to web servers. You can refer to the Node RED user guide.
