Hi,
As you asked me to create a new ticket, so here it is. There was a power outrage in my home. After that, the wifi got really slow. Before that, the switch ICX 7150 used to show 'disconnected' in the unleashed dashboard. Also, it didn't have the latest firmware to work with unleased. However, I had ignored it because the wifi was working fine, and I got busy at work.
After the recent power outrage, I went through some topics here and found similar issue raised by members. I tried to fi it myself so I did hard reset on switch because I didn't have login/password credentials and none of the default credentials worked. After the hard reset, the switch has no IP address. I would need your help to configure the switch to its latest firmware, and to be able to connect it in the unleased. I hope after this fix, the wifi should start functioning properly. I have Macbook and no windows laptop to work with.
Thank you,

Hi @mshrivas
Thank you for your response and for providing the detailed update.
It’s great to see that your Switch has been successfully upgraded to the recommended version.
Since one of your Access Points is showing as disconnected on the Unleashed dashboard, please try unplugging the Ethernet cable of this Access Point from its current Switch port and reconnect it to any of the available ports from 1 to 12 on the Switch (refer to the screenshot below).

Kindly test this and let me know if it resolves the issue.
Thank you once again for your patience and cooperation.
Best regards,
Imran Sanadi

Hi Imran,
The IP address is correct. 192.168.1.xx. I confirmed this with LanScan.
From mac terminal:
> ssh 192.168.1.xx
Unable to negotiate with 192.168.1.xx port 22: no matching key exchange method found. Their offer: diffie-hellman-group14-sha1,diffie-hellman-group1-sha1
We have gone through this step before but I'm unable to make SSH work. There was additional step with SSH (from other thread) but get the same error.
Can I not work with USBC-Console cable? Why is it so hard to upgrade the switch software?

Hi @mshrivas
Greetings!
Thank you for your response and the update.
Upgrading the Switch using the tool is a straightforward process.
To proceed, please log in to the Switch through a web browser. You should see the Switch Dashboard (as shown in the screenshot below), which will confirm that you are accessing the correct Switch IP address.

Once logged in, please enable Telnet (refer to the screenshot provided).

After enabling Telnet, try accessing the CLI from your Mac terminal by following the steps below, and share the output of the commands listed in this post:
Open the terminal on your Mac.
Run the following command (replace <ip address of the switch> with the actual Switch IP):
nc <ip address of the switch> 23
Example:
nc 10.0.0.132 23

Please let me know how it goes.
Thank you once again for your patience and cooperation.
Best regards,
Imran Sanadi

Hi,
I followed the steps. Just a correction that TELNET option is under system->management->general, and not under system->general.
Here is the output.
> nc 192.168.1.xx 23
????telnet@ICX7150-C12 Switch>
Thanks,

Hi @mshrivas
Greetings!
Thank you for your response and the update.
Since you are now able to access the CLI using Telnet, please reset your username and password using the commands below. After completing the reset, wait for a short period and try the upgrade tool again.
enable
configure terminal
device(config)# username super password pass
In this example, the username is super and the password is pass.. (You can use these of your choice)
Next, to ensure proper authentication, please execute the following commands:
device(config)# crypto key generate rsa
device(config)# aaa authentication login default local
device(config)# aaa authentication web-server default local
Please let me know the outcome after performing these steps.
Thank you once again for your patience.
Best regards,
Imran Sanadi

Password:pass [I gave a password]
telnet@ICX7150-C12 Switch#enable
enable
Incomplete command.
telnet@ICX7150-C12 Switch#configure terminal
configure terminal
telnet@ICX7150-C12 Switch(config)#username admin password pass
username admin password pass [here, I used the same admin/password as above]
telnet@ICX7150-C12 Switch(config)#crypto key generate rsa
crypto key generate rsa
Key already exists. Please zeroize it.
telnet@ICX7150-C12 Switch(config)#aaa authentication login default local
aaa authentication login default local
telnet@ICX7150-C12 Switch(config)#aa authentication web-server default local

After this I tried the upgrade tool.
