Ruckus Lennar home configuration help

mshrivas

Hi,

I recently moved to a Lennar pre-owned town house (built year 2021). It has ruckus network system (switch + 3 APs) that I've been trying to configure but couldn't do so far. The home internet is provided by AT&T.

Ethernet switch: ICX-7150-C12P

Access point: R510 series

I didn't do any factory reset yet, so just wanted to share the status of switch and APs before performing reset. From unleashed app or web, I cannot find configure.xxx ssd. Please let me know which device needs reset.

2nd Floor AP:

Hi @mshrivas

Thank you for your response.

Apologies, but in cases like this, using a Windows laptop is generally the most compatible and effective option.

That said, please let me know how it goes after performing the physical factory reset of the Switch.

Thank you again. We truly appreciate your patience and understanding.

Best regards,

Hi Imran,

I followed the switch reset steps, and I think it did reset, but now, I cannot reach the IP address from browser too (earlier, I could open from browser) .

This site can’t be reached

http://192.168.1.xx/ is unreachable.

ERR_ADDRESS_UNREACHABLE

This is the error message from unleased

Failed to ping ICX 192.168.1.xx. Suggest checking the network.

Is switch connection required for the ruckus AP operation? I see that all 3 APs are connected and working with switch disconnected (in unleased). I'm thinking to not spend time on this if not required.

Hi @mshrivas

Thank you for your response and the update.

Could you please run an IP scan once again and check if the Switch has been assigned a new IP address?

Kindly check and let me know the results.

Thank you again for your patience and understanding.

No, the IP address is the same. If I connect my macbook to AT&T wifi, I could open 192.168.1.xx, however, when I connect to ruckus wifi, I cannot reach the ip address.

As a matter of fact, I'm noticing that Ruckus wifi is slower than before. Anything to do with switch not working properly? When I had reset the switch, the ethernet cables for APs were all connected.

Hi @mshrivas

Thank you for your response and the update.

Could you please try performing the reset once again, following the same steps as before?
Once completed, kindly check if the Switch is working as expected.

Thank you again for your continued patience and understanding.

Best regards,
Imran Sanadi
