Re: How to change Network Name from Lennar-XXXXXXX (2nd Owner)

I have run into a similar situation. Moved in to a new lennar home as 2nd owner. The Lennar-****** already existed but despite me using the password present in the sticker, it said failed internet. I did have my internet provider move my fios service to the new house and connected the router with the mesh. Still no internet. Just 3 configure me networks and one Lennar-****** network.

I just factory reseted all the APs and the main ruckus in the garage and now even the Lennar-****** has disappeared. How do I make this work?

Hi @FAQ-Lennar

Greetings!!!

Thank you for reaching out to the RUCKUS Lennar Home Community.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to resolve the issues you are experiencing with your RUCKUS setup.

Based on the information provided, it appears that you are trying to reset the RUCKUS Access Points in your recently moved Lennar Home.

We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused and are committed to assisting you promptly.

Please refer to the below RUCKUS Lennar Knowledge Base self-help article for the RUCKUS Access Points factory reset process.

https://community.ruckuswireless.com/t5/RUCKUS-Lennar-Support-Knowledge/Factory-reset-process-of-the...

Please NOTE: There must be only ONE Access Point connected to the Switch during the factory reset process. For example, if you have 3 Access Points in your case, remove the cables of any TWO Access Points, and perform the factory reset on the ONE connected access point. Once you complete it, connect the unplugged Access point cables back to the Switch ports and they will sync up with the configurations from the factory reset Access Point.

Please follow the above process and let me know if you are stuck at any point during the process or let me know if you have any queries in this regard.

Thank you again for your patience and understanding.

Best regards,

Imran Sanadi

Thank you for your reply

I tried resetting with the videos provided above. Now it says "couldn't get IP address". The 1 access point connected is showing orange light for 2.4 and 5G options. Occasionally it turns green but no connection what so ever.

Hi @FAQ-Lennar

Thank you for the update.

Please note, that Amber lights on 2.4G and 5G is a normal behavior.

If 2.4G and 5G lights are amber, it states that the connectivity is up and there are no devices/clients connected. When any device/client connects to the 2.4 or 5G radio the lights turn green. Please refer to the below link for more information about the light status of the RUCKUS R510 Access Point.

Please make sure to connect the devices as per the below explanation.

After connecting the devices as per the above description, please check if you can access Internet via Access Points and let me know if you have any queries in this regard.

Thank you again for your patience.

Thank you

I think I was finally able to connect using the initial AP i plugged in and reset. I just had to switch the wiring done by the fios people. I connected the remaining APs and came to the 2nd floor. I don't think the Hotspot switched and I am getting weaker signals from the 1st floor?

What to do next? Do I need to use the configure me ids for all APs of the house?
