Hi. My Ruckus ICX7150-C12 is booted with Router firmware and I cannot get it to flash to Switch firmware. I read all the post and tried to flash the primary firmware and it looks like file was corrupted. I saw instructions to download and overwrite the primary firmware here Solved: RUCKUS Forums - Re: Ruckus ICX 7150-C12P - Page 9 - CommScope RUCKUS Community Forums (rucku... but I received error code 5 when trying to download using below both commands:
copy tftp flash 10.176.220.51 SPS08095hufi.bin primary
copy tftp flash 10.176.220.51 SPS08080f.bin primary

Hi @LennerHelp
Greetings!!!
Thank you for the response and the information you shared.
This may be because your switch may be running on the Routing code (SPR). The Switch should run on the Switching code (SPS) to avoid these issues for Lennar home users. Due to a power outage/power spike, the Switch boots up on the other partition which may be running on a ‘Routing Code’ results in causing this issue.
As I can see from the output you shared, your Switch may be booted up on the secondary partition which is running on Routing code (SPR) as highlighted in the below screenshot.
Please Enter the below commands in CLI to fix this issue:
Note: Hit Enter to accept each command
enable
copy flash flash secondary
boot system flash secondary yes
Example:

ICX7150-24P Router>enable (hit enter to accept the command)
ICX7150-24P Router#copy flash flash secondary (hit enter to accept the command and wait: until the flash finished)
ICX7150-24P Router#boot system flash secondary yes (hit enter to accept the command: the switch will reboot)
Please check let me know if you have any queries in this regard.
Thank you again for your patience.

Hi. What does this command do? Will it copy the primary firmware to the secondary? I think the issue is that the primary firmware is corrupted so if I copy primary over to the secondary, both will be corrupted SPS firmware.

Hi @LennerHelp
Thank you for the response.
Yes, it will copy the primary flash on the secondary.
If any of the flash gets corrupt you won’t be able to access to the CLI and the switch goes into boot mode. Meaning as you can access CLI now there is no image or flash which is corrupted.
Please perform the commands mentioned in my previous post to check and assist accordingly.
Please check and let me know if you have any queries in this regard.
Thank you again for your patience.
