To Ruckus Support Team,
I am requesting an RMA for a Ruckus ICX 7150-C12P switch that has suffered a critical hardware failure. The unit is currently stuck in boot monitor mode with a solid amber SYST LED and is unable to load firmware.
Device Details:
Model: ICX 7150-C12P (ICX1750-CP12)
Serial Number: ************
Issue Description:
The switch fails to boot and remains at the ICX7150-Boot> prompt. Attempts to recover the firmware via TFTP and USB have failed consistently with the following hardware error:
error: can’t open ‘/opt/tpm/mfg-key-temp.pem’
Troubleshooting Steps Taken:
Verified physical connectivity on the Management Port (Port 13); link lights are active, but pings to the TFTP server time out.
Attempted firmware recovery via USB (FAT32), but the switch cannot validate the image due to the TPM key error.
Performed the Ruckus-recommended "30-reset" power cycle method to reinitialize the TPM chip, but the error persists.
Confirmed the issue is not environmental (firewalls disabled, direct connection used).
Because the TPM (Trusted Platform Module) cannot access the manufacturing keys, the switch is unable to verify or write new flash images, indicating a permanent hardware failure of the security module.
Please provide the RMA instructions and the return shipping address for a replacement unit.
Thank you,
Bryan L Bourn
