R510 update needed?

Gunner
New Contributor II

We are experiencing buffering issues on our TVs during peak times and suspect it is coming from our Ruckus R510, especially since our HOA upgraded to a very high Spectrum speed.    We cannot access Configure.Me and the website the community points us to no longer exists.  We know the serial number of the R510 but not the password.  Several of our Lennar HOA members are replacing their Ruckus equipment for other brands because they cannot navigate the upgrades.   Our system was installed by Amazon Tech Services.   Is there any phone support available for Lennar homes?>

Please see the attached pictures.   The R510 is the only cable plugged into the Ruckus modem.  There are 4 lights illuminated on the R510.  Ruckus.jpgRuckus 2.jpg

Hi @Gunner

Thank you for the update.

Please note that the RUCKUS Switch upgrade process is different from Access Points/Unleashed. Kindly refer to the RUCKUS Lennar Knowledge Base self-help article below for detailed instructions on the Switch upgrade:

https://community.ruckuswireless.com/t5/RUCKUS-Lennar-Support-Knowledge/How-to-upgrade-RUCKUS-ICX-71...

Please let me know if you need any assistance during the process.

Thank you again for your patience and understanding.

I tried both the download and web versions and couldn't get either to work with my limited knowledge. The "admin" user id and the password I previously used to access the wireless extender used do not work for the web version.   I have noticed an improvement by updating the wireless extender, but I'd also like to update the switch while I'm at it.

Hi @Gunner

Thank you for the update.

Could you please try accessing the CLI using the Telnet option? This method does not require a username or password.

Telnet: Port 23 (to be used if SSH is not working)

Let me know how it goes.

Thank you again for your patience and understanding.

On my Mac I can access Terminal and it accepts the SSH command.  What's next?

Hi @Gunner

Thank you for the update.

If you can access the CLI, please share the mentioned command outputs:

enable

show version

show flash

show inline power

show inline power detail

show interface brief

Please let me know if you have any queries in this regard.

Thank you again for your patience.
