Only 1 ethernet wall jack working after ISP internet outage. Ruckus ICX7150-C12p

After the storm, the only wall jack that works is the one that the switch is directly connected to in the Cat5e patch panel. I found the post below and realized that there was a similar situation with SPR so I followed the directions and now the switch shows SPS.

https://community.ruckuswireless.com/t5/RUCKUS-Support-for-Lennar-Homes/Connectivity-issues-still-oc...

I also noticed the Unleashed admin portal shows 0 switches.  I am not sure if this was the same before the storm.

Both access points seem to be working ok, but only 1 wall jack works at a time.  Please advise.

1 ACCEPTED SOLUTION

Hi @Iceman

Greetings!!!

Thank you for your recent communication and the provided information.

From the screenshot you shared, the RUCKUS Switch is not added into the Unleashed system. Since the Switch has not been integrated into the Unleashed system, please follow the outlined procedure below to manually add

**Switch Configuration:**
1. Ensure that management approval is enabled on the Switch.

https://docs.commscope.com/bundle/unleashed-200.14-onlinehelp/page/GUID-42B53C1F-032B-4341-9735-16F8...

**Access Points (Unleashed) Configuration:** (Refer to the below steps and screenshots)
1. Access the Unleashed dashboard.
2. Navigate to the "Add" function on the dashboard.

3. Enter the IP address and password for the ICX switch (ICX-7150-C12P). This IP address is the same one used to access the Switch CLI.

4. Use the same username and password for Switch authentication as you would for accessing the Switch via web or CLI (e.g., Putty).

5. Data synchronization may take several minutes. Once completed, the status should indicate "connected" on the dashboard.

Please review the dashboard post-synchronization to ensure the Switch has been successfully integrated.

Should you have any questions or require further assistance, feel free to reach out.

Thank you once again for your attention to this matter.

Best regards,

Hello @Iceman ,

Greetings!

Thank you for contacting RUCKUS Lennar Home Community.

I hope you are doing well!!!

Thank you for the information you shared.

From the case description, I understand that you are facing issues with the ethernet jack and also noticed that the Unleashed admin portal shows 0 switches.

This may happen when your RUCKUS Switch is on an older version(08080d) which doesn’t let you log into the Unleashed application. We suggest you upgrade your Switch to the recommended version(8095g) to avoid this issue in the future.

Please follow the below RUCKUS Lennar Knowledge base self-help article which will help you to upgrade the switch to the recommended version(8095g)

https://community.ruckuswireless.com/t5/RUCKUS-Lennar-Support-Knowledge/How-to-upgrade-RUCKUS-ICX-71...

Please follow the process explained in the article and let me know if you have any queries in this regard.

Thank you again. We appreciate your patience and understanding.

Best regards,

Pinky Rajendran

Pinky, I am getting the following error when attempting the "copy tftp flash" command: TFTP to Flash Error - code 5

Pinky, adjusting my Windows firewall settings resolved that error and I was able to complete the upgrade.  I fixed a missing cord and that resolved the ethernet jacks.  Everything is working now but the Unleashed portal still shows 0 switches.  Please confirm if this is expected.
