No internet connection after connecting to Wifi

mattdez

I have multiple devices that will connect to my WIFI network but are not assigned an IP address and cannot connect to the internet along with a few devices that are randomly dropped from the internet but still connected to the wireless network. Currently, there are 41 devices on my network and 4 do not have IP address.

I already accessed the command line interface and ensured I am in switching mode running version SPS08090d.bin.

I have confirmed all lights are present on the switch and WIFI access points as well with no amber lights. I have also completed multiple factory resets on the switch.

I spoke too soon and I'm having issues again with more devices not having an IP address assigned when connected to the network. Is IP address assignment handled by the Ruckus switch or by the Linksys router I have connected between the ONT and the Ruckus switch?

Hi @mattdez

Thank you for the response and the update.

IP address assignment is handled by the Internet Service Provider (ISP) router. Please try rebooting the ISP router by unplugging it from the power outlet, waiting a few seconds, and then plugging it back in. Once the router is back online, please check the IP addresses again.

Thank you once again for your patience and understanding.

My ISP doesn't supply the router, but after some investigation I found the Linksys router I was using is known for issues similar to this. I replaced it with a TP-Link ER605 router and it seems to have fixed my issue.
