Network not getting through switch

Shane44

Hello, a couple days ago my Internet went down and reset. However, I noticed that I returned to Wi-Fi and not hardwired connection to my PC. I reset the router and switch and now my WAP's are not coming back online and my switch is not providing the network. There are lights coming on, such as orange on the status port. What shall I do?

Hi @Shane44 ,

Greetings!

Thank you for contacting RUCKUS Lennar Home Community.

Thank you for the information you shared.

From the response , I understand that the status lights on the Switch is Amber and the PWR light is Green which means that the Switch is stuck in the boot mode.

Please follow the below RUCKUS Lennar Knowledge base self-help article which will help you to fix the issue when the Switch is in boot mode.

Hello

It sounds like your switch isn’t properly passing network traffic. Try these steps:

Power Cycle Everything – Turn off your router, switch, and WAPs, then power them back on in sequence: router → switch → WAPs → devices.

Check Cable Connections – Ensure your modem is correctly connected to the switch and your PC is plugged into an active port.

Test a Direct Connection – Connect your PC directly to the router via Ethernet to see if it gets internet access.

Inspect Switch LEDs – Orange status lights may indicate a speed or connection issue—check the switch manual for details.
