Network not getting through switch

Shane44

Hello, a couple days ago my Internet went down and reset. However, I noticed that I returned to Wi-Fi and not hardwired connection to my PC. I reset the router and switch and now my WAP's are not coming back online and my switch is not providing the network. There are lights coming on, such as orange on the status port. What shall I do?

Hello @Shane44 ,

Thank you for the response.

I would request you to please share the cable connection while performing software recovery. (Please see the below picture as reference)

Note: The cable type will be USB to type C, where the USB it’s going to your computer and the type C to the Type C connection in your switch

Ethernet cable connected between the Out-of-band management port in the Switch to your computer Ethernet port.

Please let us know if you have any queries in this regard.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Hello @Shane44 ,

Thank you for sharing the pictures.

From the pictures you shared, it seems that the cable connections looks normal.

I understand that you have disabled the Windows firewall. If you see the same “ping not alive” error even after turning off the Windows firewall, please perform the below commands:

“setenv image_name SPS08090k.bin”                                        (enter the correct image file name)

“update_primary”                                                           (upload the image on the primary partition)

“setenv image_name SPS08090k.bin”                                        (enter the correct image file name)

“update_secondary”                                                           (upload the image on the secondary partition)

*Wait that loads the image and continue with the boot:

“setenv uboot mnz10115.bin”                                                    (enter the correct boot file name)

 “update_uboot”                                                                      (upload the boot code)

* Wait that loads the boot and continue with the Final command reset:

“reset”             (finally enter reset to reload the unit)

After performing the above commands and a successful Software Recovery, the SYST and PWR lights on the Switch must turn GREEN with the Switch starts working normally.

Also, could you please share a screenshot confirming that the Windows firewall is disabled?

Please let us know if you have any queries in this regard.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.
