Need support - WiFi continually dropping

**ICX7150\-C12P / Ruckus APs repeatedly dropping Wi\-Fi multiple times per hour**

Hello Ruckus Support,

I am looking for assistance troubleshooting a recurring issue with my Lennar\-installed Ruckus home Wi\-Fi system\.

**System setup:**

- Spectrum internet service
- Spectrum Hitron EN\-2251 modem
- Linksys EA7500 router
- Ruckus ICX7150\-C12P switch in the Lennar network panel
- Two Ruckus ceiling\-mounted access points

The issue is that the Ruckus Wi\-Fi network repeatedly drops several times per hour\. During these events, Wi\-Fi devices disconnect completely and then reconnect after several minutes\.

I have confirmed the issue does not appear to be with the Spectrum modem or Linksys router:

- The Spectrum modem remains online\.
- The Linksys router remains powered and stable\.
- Wired Ethernet devices connected through the Linksys continue working during the Wi\-Fi outages \(for example, TV streaming and other wired devices\)\.
- The issue appears isolated to the Ruckus system\.

Observed behavior:

- Both Ruckus ceiling access points appear to be affected together\.
- The ICX7150\-C12P SYST light changes behavior during failures \(flashing yellow/orange or solid yellow/orange at times\) and then returns to green\.
- The access points recover after several minutes\.
- The issue continues to repeat throughout the day\.

Ring Alarm provides a useful record of the interruptions because it switches to cellular backup whenever the Wi\-Fi/internet connection drops\. Examples from today:

- 1:22 PM — Ring Alarm switched to cellular backup
- 1:26 PM — Connection restored
- 1:10 PM — Switched to cellular backup
- 1:14 PM — Connection restored
- 12:49 PM — Switched to cellular backup
- 12:54 PM — Connection restored
- 12:39 PM — Switched to cellular backup
- 12:43 PM — Connection restored
- 12:30 PM — Switched to cellular backup
- 12:35 PM — Connection restored

This pattern continues repeatedly throughout the day, with outages occurring several times per hour\.

Troubleshooting already completed:

- Multiple full power cycles of the Spectrum modem, Linksys router, and ICX7150\-C12P switch
- Proper startup sequencing \(modem → router → Ruckus switch\)
- ICX7150 recovery/reset procedure using the front reset button \(the system recovered afterward, but the issue returned\)

At this point, I would appreciate assistance determining whether this is:

- an ICX7150\-C12P hardware issue,
- a PoE issue affecting the access points,
- a firmware/software issue,
- or another known failure mode\.

Please let me know what logs, diagnostics, serial numbers, or additional information you need\. I would also appreciate guidance on whether this equipment may need replacement\.

Thank you for your help\.

Hi there,

Understood. If you have access to the web GUI, you can perform a software upgrade from it. This step will help us discard software-related problems. Let's install the 08095t version on the switch. Here's the link to download the 08095t firmware:

If the switch currently has firmware 08,0.95 or below, please follow these instructions:

Hello Arnoldo,

I do not have access to the web GUI. I was only able to reach the ICX7150 login page at 192.168.10.131, but I do not have the username and password needed to log in.

Can you please provide guidance on obtaining the login credentials or the recommended next step?

Thank you.

Please try the default credentials super and sp-admin for the password. You can also try admin-admin as some lennar homes have that as the credentials for the switch

Regards,

Hello Arnoldo,

I attempted to access the ICX7150 web interface using the credentials you provided, but I was not able to log in.

I tried using Chrome, Chrome incognito mode, and Safari, but the result was the same. The login page briefly attempts to load and then returns to the login screen without an error message.

Please advise on the next step.

Thank you.
