Hi @ronsonc

Greetings!!!

Thank you for contacting Lennar Home Community.

Hope you are doing well!!!

Thank you for the detailed information you shared.

As per the case description, I understand that your RUCKUS ICX-7150-C12P Switch is stuck in boot mode.

I see from the screenshot you shared, that you have used incorrect software recovery cabled connections.

Have you tried to reset the Switch using a paper clip multiple times? If not, please perform the same multiple times as described in the below RUCKUS Lennar Knowledge base guide.

https://community.ruckuswireless.com/t5/RUCKUS-Lennar-Support-Knowledge/Fixing-RUCKUS-Switch-with-an...

If the reset doesn’t work, please perform the software recovery of the Switch as described in the same guide using the correct cable connections.

Please let me know if you have any queries in this regard.

Thank you again for your patience and understanding.

Best regards,

Imran Sanadi

RUCKUS Lennar Home Community.

I have pressed the preset button many many times 😞

I also cannot do the software recovery because there is never an option to go to boot> (even if i bash the b button constantly when it is powered and/or when i hit the reset button)

Let me know if there are any other steps you would like me to try

In the above picture, the black cable is a RJ45 to USB-A console cable.  That is how i get the console output.  I've also tried it with a USB-C to USB-C cable and it gives me the same console output 😞

Each time, the console will say

Ruckus Networks Bootloader: 10.1.26T225 (Nov 29 2022 - 04:43:18 -0800)

Booted from partition 1
DRAM: Validate Shmoo parameters stored in flash ..... failed!
R04. Configure reference voltage
R08. ZQ calibration

Hi @ronsonc

Thank you for the response and the detailed information you shared.

Please try to use an ethernet cable (both ends RJ45 plugs) and USB to type C cable together for software recovery as described in steps 2 & 3 in the guide link.

Please check and let me know if you have any queries in this regard.

Thank you again for your understanding.

Hi Imran,

I cannot do the software recovery because I am never able to get to the boot prompt.

Referring to my first post, that is all I get in the console by using

  1. USB-C to USB-C cable to my laptop
  2. RJ45 to RJ45 cable to my laptop
  3. Connecting using PuTTY to COM10
  4. I get the output shown in the first message i posted everytime

ronsonc_1-1708636292369.png

ronsonc_2-1708636380464.png

The background is a screen cap from the youtube video you linked to  and i do not get that boot prompt.  I kept pressing b and nothing happens
