ICX-7150-C12P takes multiple attempts to boot or reset in in switch console

When my switch loses power for any reason it will fail to boot on it's own. I have attempted the hard reset by pressing and holding the reset button while applying power to the switch, however it doesn't appear to take. If I console into the switch and run the boot command then I'll mostly see the following error with the Primary and Secondary images:

BOOTING image from Primary

NAND read: device 0 offset 0x0, size 0x2000000
3 ecc_errors after reading 1aea000:1aebc00
iproc_nand_read_page returned 2
NAND read from offset 0 failed -22
0 bytes read: ERROR
## Loading kernel from FIT Image at 70000200 ...
Bad FIT kernel image format!
ERROR: can't get kernel image!

If I run the boot command more than a dozen times or do a reset command on console then eventually the image will load and bring functions online. I have to do this every time when the switch lost power and it's very frustrating at time. The switch is currently running firmware version SPS08090d. Is this problem indicative of a hardware failure? If so, how can I invoke the warranty?

Hi @LuanN

Greetings!!!

Thank you for contacting RUCKUS Lennar Home Community.

Hope you are doing well!!!

Thank you for the information you shared.

As per the case description, I could understand that your RUCKUS ICX-7150-C12P Switch is not booting up, and you tried to reset the Switch using a paper clip with no success. There is an error when you are trying to get the console access.

At this point we may need to perform a software recovery since it can be that the image flash is corrupted in basic words the unit is not able to boot up properly and need re-install the image to boot up properly. And after the software recovery, we can upgrade the Switch to a stable version to avoid this issue in the future.

Below is the Guide and Video Link to perform the Software recovery process:

Hi @Imran,

Thank you for getting back to me on this issue. I was able to force reset the switch within the console and it seem the switch was able to boot up correctly now.

As for performing a software recovery, I won't be able to do that right away as I need a stable internet signal for my job. But I will find the time to try out the instruction you provided and will post back in this thread on if that can resolve my issue.

Thank you,

Luan

Hi @LuanN

Greetings!!!

Thank you for the response and the update.

Sure, please let me know if you need any assistance.

And please note, if your RUCKUS ICX-7150-C12P Switch is in a normal state now, we can software upgrade your Switch to the latest recommended software version to avoid the issue you faced recently without performing software recovery of the Switch.

Please let me know if you have any queries in this regard.

Thank you again for your patience and understanding.
