CTL Light on ceiling router downstairs not lighting up

I have 2 what I believe to be ruckus routers installed on the ceilings downstairs and upstairs.  The CTL light downstairs does 2 things; sometimes during the startup process if blinks fast, 3 blinks then nothing, it does not illuminate.  Other times it blinks slow and looks like it is going to light up then nothing it does not illuminate.  All other lights are light up and are green.  The upstairs router has all green lights which includes the CTL light.  Internet upstairs in superfast, downstairs ther is internet but the signal is strong, tv has issues connecting, this tells me the CTL light not being on is probably not putting the internet signal out to the 1st floor, would that be correct?  Is there a way to fix this?  Backstory, had a power outage and every since been having this issue.  Please help

Hello @Tdoyle-0812 ,

Greetings!

Thank you for contacting RUCKUS Lennar Home Community.

I hope you are doing well!!!

Thank you for the information you shared.

From the case description, I understand that you have 2 Access points and one of which are having all lights turned on and green including CTL and the other AP having all lights except CTL turned Green.

If there are multiple APs, only one among those APs will act as a master AP and that master AP will have their CTL turned on and green. The CTL on all other APs will be off.

Also, I understand that the slow speed issues started after the power outage.

We need to check few configurations on the Switch to assist you further.

Please follow the below steps and help us with the queries,

1. To check this, we must identify the ‘current’ IP address assigned by your local router to the switch ICX-7150-C12P

I will leave you a guide on how to perform an IP scanner on your local network to identify the switch IP address very easily.

How to find the IP Address of the RUCKUS Devices (Switch and APs) using IP Scanner free applications:

https://community.ruckuswireless.com/t5/RUCKUS-Lennar-Support-Knowledge/How-to-find-the-IP-Address-o...

2. Once we identify the IP address of the switch proceed to access remotely to the device “Command Line”

https://community.ruckuswireless.com/t5/RUCKUS-Lennar-Support-Knowledge/How-to-access-the-Command-Li...

If you can access the Command line should look like this:

ICX7150-C12 Router> OR

ICX7150-C12 Switch>

Please enter the below commands once you log in to CLI and share the output.

Note: Hit Enter to accept each command

enable

show version

show flash

Please share the output of the above commands or share the screenshots if stuck at any step or error (if any) and let me know if you have any queries in this regard.

Thank you again. We appreciate your patience and understanding.

Best regards,

Pinky Rajendran
