Hello,
I need to add a USB storage device to my network. I have done multiple searches and cannot find any information on how to access the storage device once it is connected.

Hi @Melissa05
Thank you for the response and the information.
Apologies, the RUCKUS ICX-7150-C12P switch is not designed to connect an external hard drive for storage. While it does have a USB port, it's primarily for console management and Configuration file storage, not for general storage purposes like music or files. The switch's primary function is to manage and distribute network traffic within a network, not to provide storage.
The RUCKUS ICX-7150-C12P Switch cannot be used to connect an external hard disk for the purpose of storing files, music, or any type of data storage.
Purpose: This switch is a networking device, designed to manage data traffic between devices in a network not to function as a storage device or file server.
USB Port Use: While it may have USB ports, these are typically used for configuration, firmware updates, or console access, not for external data storage.
No File System Support: The switch does not support file systems (e.g., NTFS, FAT32) required to read/write data to an external hard drive.
If you're looking to store and share files over a network, consider using a NAS (Network Attached Storage) device or a dedicated file server instead.
Hope it helps you, and please let me know if you have any queries regarding the RUCKUS device setup.
Thank you again for your understanding and patience.
Best regards,
Imran Sanadi
