Access Point dead after outage

Jeanpaulpr

My Ruckus Access point is dead after a power outage. Few years ago it happened and I was transferred to an engineer from Ruckus who remotely was able to restarted and make it work again. Since now this community thread is the new support model for Lennar Ruckus customers, how can I get it fixed now?

Hi Jeanpaulpr

Greetings of the day!!!

Thank you for the information you shared.

As I can see from the pictures you shared, the PoE is in the disabled state on the Switch. By which the Access Points are unable to get the power.

To enable the PoE on the Switch, please perform the below commands from the CLI:

Switch>enable
No password has been assigned yet...
Switch#configure terminal
Switch(config)#interface ethernet 1/1/1 to 1/1/12
Switch(config-mif-1/1/1-1/1/12)#inline power

Also attaching a Screenshot as a reference:

Please confirm once it works or please let me know if you have any queries in this regard.

Thank you again.

Hi Jeanpaulpr

Thank you for contacting Lennar Home Community.

Hope you are doing well!!!

Thank you for the information you shared,

As per the case description, I could understand that your RUCKUS Access Point is not getting power after a power outage.

Could you please let us know the following information?

  1. On your switch while it's plugged into the outlet, do you see any lights on? (Amber or green) Please let us know which lights are on. (Please refer to the below picture)

  1. Also, please Make sure it is plugged into a well-known outlet/power source.

  1. May I know how many Access Points are connected to the Switch and the number of affected Access Points?

Please help us with pictures of your ICX-7150-C12P Switch showing the status of the lights.

Please let me know if you have any queries in this regard.

Hello, this is the only access point of the house. I understand the power source is the ethernet cable that goes into the media box, where everything seems on and working as usual. No light of the access point are on.

Hi Jeanpaulpr

Thank you for the information you shared.

In order to fix this issue, first we need to check the status of the lights on your RUCKUS ICX-7150-C12P (Media Box) to which the Access Point is connected. The highlighted part is in the picture below. do you see any lights ON? (Amber or green) Please let us know which lights are on.

Could you please help us with a picture of your RUCKUS ICS-7150-C12P (Media Box) front panel? to verify if it is in a healthy state or if any other Troubleshooting is required.
